TaskForce Documents On July 18, 2003, Texas A&M President Robert Gates appointed a task force to
recommend a response to the Supreme Court's rulings in Grutter and Gratz. On Aug. 29, the task force
returned a strong recommendation in favor of affirmative action. Here are some documents from that
task force, obtained through the Texas Open Records Act.
